Translational Research Program

The OSI Translational Research Program in Oncology seeks to expand our understanding of our pipeline compounds through both internal and collaborative external non-clinical research projects.   OSI Translational Research aims to extend our understanding of the mechanism of action of our pipeline agents and establish novel proof-of-concept data for the continued clinical development of our agents.   Further, OSI is actively engaged in the identification and development of novel molecular markers of drug responsiveness and biological activity of single agent MTTs and MTT combinations. Active areas of Translational Research include:

  • Erlotinib in Treatment Beyond Progression
  • Predictive Markers for erlotinib and for all OSI Oncology Development Compounds
  • Standardization and Development of Clinical Assays to Determine the EMT Status of Solid Tumors
  • EMT Model Development Including In Vivo Imaging and Efficacy Studies Using Primary Human Tumor Explant Xenografts
  • Combination Efficacy Studies with erlotinib, OSI-930, OSI-906 or OSI-027
  • Mechanism-of-Action and Signal Transduction Studies on OSI Oncology Pipeline Compounds
